Balai Seni Rupa (Fine Arts Museum) photographWithin Jakarta are a number of worthy art galleries, such as both the Balai Seni Rupa (Fine Arts Museum) and the Bentara Budaya. The arts scene within Jakarta is especially well developed, with many changing exhibitions being regularly staged across the city.

Each year, the Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta Arts Centre on the Jalan Cikini Raya plays host to a multitude of leading related events, including the increasingly popular Art Summit Indonesia each November, which combines the best of contemporary and performing arts. As well as gallery exhibitions, the Art Summit Indonesia features various theatrical events and dance performances at venues around the city centre.
